this is impressive, but to be honest it looks incredibly cumbersome and unresponsive. i don't think the accelerometers are the best tool for this kind of interface... you'd be much better off working on getting the IR to imitate the "mouse" behavior as it works on the wii... that way, you'll be able to drag, rotate, zoom, etc. as fast as you want to. it looks usable, but not fun.
That's true, and I hope to get the IR interface integrated soon. A 'click-and-drag' motion is more intuitive. This was really just a quick attempt to see what I could do with GlovePIE.
I have your script running just nicely. I like the interaction with the gestures to move around GE. It's a nice hands off the keyboard/mouse way to present GE to others.
Is it possible to add the nunchuck for the gestures (panning, tilting, rotating) and switch the wiimote to an IR "mouse like" device to interact with the menu selection?
